On behalf of joint venture delivery partners National Grid and Energinet, we鈥檙e delivering onshore civil engineering works to connect power grids in the UK and Denmark and improve the security of electricity supply.
As part of the four-year contract,聽we鈥檙e聽installing聽68km聽of high voltage cabling across Lincolnshire; connecting聽power grids聽in聽Denmark聽to聽the UK grid via聽Bicker Fen substation.
Drawing on years聽of experience and聽our聽in-depth knowledge in delivering complex high voltage cabling projects,聽we're working聽collaboratively聽with聽National Grid and Energinet聽to develop聽a聽comprehensive solution聽to聽ensure聽the聽safe and efficient delivery聽of the project.聽聽
Upon聽completion, the project will form part of the wider 765km聽Viking Link which will supply sustainable electricity for 1.4 million homes in Britain.聽The Viking Link will contribute to the UK Government鈥檚 commitment to reduce all greenhouse emissions to net zero by 2050聽by providing access to a well-developed,聽low-cost聽renewable energy market.聽
